While working together on your individual goals, at Youth Transformations we consider how all areas of your life are connected. For example, what’s going on in your life with your friends and family? How do you feel in different social situations? What would you like to do in the future? What makes you excited now? What do you like to do for fun? What do you like to eat?

My coaching is motivated by you. This means that I honor your knowledge, voice and individual needs and wants. When you work with me in my coaching program, we work together naturally, building a trusting relationship with you and your family by empowering you to take charge of your future and become the master of your own life.

Listening: By listening to your story, we will discover what makes you you. This may be perhaps the most important and powerful piece of my natural approach. Through listening I get to know you and understand what is happening in your life from your perspective. Together we will move forward taking action steps so that you create the life you want.

I will listen to you to help you take charge of your health, your life and your future.

Mind-Body-Spirit: It is important to recognize the mind-body-spirit connection to your life. Your mind, body and spirit need to be nourished. It’s difficult to feel and do your best if you’re not paying attention what you put into your body, mind and spirit. You probably have a lot going on in your life — school, sports, clubs, friends, chores, fun and more — so it can be easy to get caught up in your everyday activities. Your body, mind and spirit do best when they are moving and working together. Are you given enough choices to nourish your mind, body and spirit?

I will help you discover exciting ways to nourish your mind, body and spirit every day.

Individual Needs: You are unique, and while all people have the same basic needs we don’t need them in the same amounts or in the same ways. You may have different things that you need to be healthy. You may be going through different things in your life than your friends are.

Are you the same as everyone else?

We will figure out what your needs are for you to be healthy and create a life you love.

Personalized: What is something that you love? Music? Baseball? Field Hockey? Art? Reading books? Your interests and strengths are different from everyone else’s. As we work together, you will discover new interests, what makes you excited to get out of bed in the morning. Do you recognize what your interests and strengths are? I will help you use your strengths and interests to have choices about the way your life unfolds.

Holistic: You are more than just a body, mind and spirit. You are made up of your experiences, your background and every aspect of your life, including how you spend your time. Just like there are so many things that make you you, there are many things you can do to take charge of your life. In this holistic view we will consider every part of you and who you are. Are you given the chance to use different ways to take charge of your life? I will help you to uncover different pathways to take charge of your health and your life that work for you.

Empowerment: You have power. You have a voice. You can do whatever you put your mind to. You can know about yourself and what things are healthy for you. Knowing that you have the power to make choices, learning about yourself and your surroundings is very important. Using your power and your voice to have choices for your life allows you to have a say in what happens to you. Do you get to make your own decisions? I will help you gain the knowledge to make decisions for your health and life that work for you and your family.

Surroundings: What’s around you can have an impact on your health. What and who you surround yourself with can have an impact on your life. Knowing your surroundings and how to best arrange and manage your surroundings empowers you to be in charge of your health. Being aware of who and what you surround yourself with empowers you to be in charge of your life. Are your surroundings how you want them to be?

I will help you consider your surroundings and make empowered changes so that you can have more say over your health and life now and in the future.

Natural World: The natural world or ‘nature’ isn’t something that is ‘out there’; it’s something you’re a part of. Connecting with the natural world can be very healing and balancing. Spending time outdoors and being able to move even for a few minutes a day can help your state of mind and your overall life. Learning about the natural world and your place in it helps you to know more about yourself.
